LinkedUp Network is a social enterprise tackling large-scale issues at a local level and right now our focus is on homelessness and empowering communities through next-generation civic infrastructure.

The aim of our homelessness initiative, is to provide long-term stability, and in the meantime, ‘right now relief’, for those that are experiencing homelessness — and we’ve started right here in Perth, Western Australia.

The homelessness system as it stands reinforces a cycle of exclusion, with the barriers to stability forming a closed loop — people cannot stabilise because they cannot access systems, and they cannot access systems because they are not stabilised.

To bridge these gaps, we have developed both a long-term and short-term strategy.
The long-term response to these systemic gaps lies in the development of a resilience strategy.
As part of this approach, LinkedUp™ proposes the establishment of the Essential Access Program (EAP) — an initiative designed to support individuals in crisis.
The EAP acts as a practical safety net, providing stability should circumstances lead people to periods of instability.

While longer-term solutions to this crisis are underway, we are concerned about the disastrous effects the “right now” reality is having on these individuals in the meantime.
So we’ve made it our mission to show up, right now, where it matters most — lightening the load for individuals who carry their entire world on their shoulders.

A major part of this short-term strategy is the launching of iLocal™ — a print version of our digital access tool that is currently under development.
iLocal™ print version is designed specifically for Perth individuals who are experiencing homelessness or housing insecurity, and is distributed monthly in areas of need
